Learn more about artwork in the Museum in these FREE docent-led tours, held the FIRST Sunday of each month at 1P.M.

The parade will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Autauga County Courthouse and will end at Stanley-Jensen Stadium. The community is encourage to participate in this free parade.
Children’s area, arts and crafts, bbq to purchase. The boat races begin at 10:00am, with the teams creating their competition boats out of cardboard, pool noodles and duct tape. Trophies awarded. Two people, no more or less must race on the boats. New rules this year so you must pre-register. Fee: $5 per boat. Call (334) 595-0800 for more info. SWIMMING POOL Independence Day Special: $2.00 per person. 1-3pm
Live music, food vendors, children’s activities, fireworks
The annual fireworks presentation will be held at Stanley-Jensen Stadium. Gates open at 6pm with a concert by the band “Creativity.” Fireworks begin at dark. The admission to this spectacular event is FREE and the public is encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. NO pets or bottles are allowed.

10:30-11 & 11-11:30 Tales for Tots at Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts
This FREE monthly program introduces preschoolers to the Museum through storybooks and simple craft activities that relate to different works of art in the Museum’s galleries each meeting. Two sessions are offered each month to accommodate a maximum of 25 participants/session.

2 pm Landmarks Foundation Discovery Sunday-A Photographic Journey through Montgomery’s Past, Meet at the Winter Loeb Building, 105 Tallapoosa. Discovery Sundays will meet one Sunday a month at 2 pm, and the program will vary from presentations at Old Alabama Town to field trips around Montgomery. Free to the public.
