Weekend Roundup April 22-24

Here is your weekly round up of things to do this weekend for families in Montgomery, Wetumpka, and Prattville. Saturday 4/23/16
Capitol City Master Gardeners Plant Sale FREE 
At Frazer UMC. Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer any questions you may have about them. Plants for sale will include: heirloom plants,vegetables, herbs, annuals, perennials, ground covers, trees and shrubs. In addition, there will be a large assortment of garden items and potted arrangements for sale. Soil testing kits, key gardening indicators for successful plant growth, will also be available. Free gardening demonstrations and children’s activities held during the plant sale.

8-11 am Earth Day Wetumpka Recycle Center   FREE
Plant Swap, Plant Care advice, Free Tshirts (first 50), Electronics Recycling 

9 am- 5 pm Alabama Book Festival FREE
With author readings, workshops, vendors and exhibitors, author signings, and a lively activity area for children (hosted by the MCCPL youth services librarians), this free public event is the state’s premier literary event. Thousands of people from around the state and the Southeast gather at the festival each year to meet their favorite authors and scholars. It’s a day of fun for book lovers of all ages!

Sunday 4/24/16
Welcome spring by bringing the entire family to this FREE Museum program! Listen to Jazz Jams and create a fun “make and take” art project related to the exhibition A Shared Legacy: Folk Art in America. All materials are provided.

4 pm Cloverdale Idlewild Association Spring Concerts FREE
