Calendar: March 2016

Here I was thinking that we would be able to just sit around Saturday with nothing to do and now I find all kinds of fun things to put on the calendar. I hope you enjoy!

Saturday 3/5/16  

Bass Pro Shops Dog Days Event FREE
Bring your dog!  Free K9 advantix II to the first 100 dogs Saturday March 5 & 12!

VBS Discovery Day at Lifeway Christian Store FREE
All day event with crafts, snacks and giveaways!
 
9 am-Noon Home Depot Kids Workshop FREE  Join our hands-on workshop and build a rolling toy wagon for your child's tiny toys. Once the wagon is built, your child can decorate it with The Home Depot stickers.  All kids get to keep their craft, receive a FREE certificate of achievement, a Workshop Apron, and a commemorative pin while supplies last.   Children must be present at the store to participate in the workshop and receive the kit, apron and pin.

10 am-4 pm Pike Road Art Market FREE
Purchase art, jewelry and crafts from regional artists. See British cars presented by a local British Motoring Club.

11 am Easter Bunny's Arrival on Ice Eastdale Mall  FREE
The Easter Bunny will arrive at the Ice Palace in a giant Easter Basket along with the Eastdale Mall Teen Team.  The Ice Palace Figure Skaters will perform whimsical vignettes featuring traditional popular tunes that is sure to delight children of all ages. Following his magical appearance, the Easter Bunny will make his way to his Tea Pot Garden located at the Eastdale Mall Centre Court, complete with spring flowers and so much more!

2 pm Magic Tree House: Space Mission at W.A. Gayle Planetarium 
General Admission - $6.50 per person, ages 5 and above.
Doors open 30 minutes before showtime for ticket sales.

11 am Eastdale Mall Easter Egg Hunt 
Eastdale Mall is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt Saturday, March 12th at 11am outside near the Chuck E. Cheese’s entrance.  This event is open to the public and tickets are $5 each and can be purchased at Customer Service.  Proceeds for this event benefit the Children’s Aid Society. 1-4 pm Native American Family Day at MMFA FREE
During this FREE event, the Poarch Band of Creek Indians will share many different aspects of their heritage in fun and interactive ways for all ages!  There will be storytelling by the Poarch Creek Tribal Historic Preservation Officer, dance performances, tribal drumming, and artisans demonstrating their skills.  We will have hands-on basket weaving, medallion making, and creating in clay, all in the Poarch Creek tradition.

Saturday 3/19/16

Join the Easter Bunny for this fun event on Saturday, March 19th & 26th.  From 8:30 am to 9:30 am enjoy refreshments and a craft with the Easter Bunny.   Tickets for this event are $10 each person and you will receive, refreshments,  (1) 4x6 picture along with your craft!  Space is very limited, to reserve your spot please call (334) 277-7380 or email David Hagood at david.hagood@aronov.com

Designed for children ages 2-5 and a parent or adult partner, this FREE monthly program includes simple storybooks, a visit to the Museum galleries for inspiration, and related art activities. Each session is limited to 25 participants.
