Weekend Roundup of Things To Do 5/15-5/17/15

Here is a list of events going on in the river region this weekend!

Saturday 5/16/15
Books a Million Re-Grand Opening Event

10 am Elmore County Fire Rescue Alabama Antique Tractor Show and Pull- BBQ cookoff, kids activities, vendors and more! Gates open at 7 am.

9:45 am Mayor's Bike Ride Kids to Parks Day FREE

10 am-2 pm Touch a Truck & More Prattville FREE
Fire trucks, dump trucks, racecars, Humvees, and many more vehicles will descend on Pratt Park on Saturday, May 16, for the 6th Annual Touch-A-Truck event. This event will be held in conjunction with National Kids to Parks Day and the 4th Annual Mayor’s Bike Ride. The bike ride will begin at 9:45 a.m. at Upper Kingston Park and will end at Pratt Park where kids can join in the Touch-A-Truck fun. Join Mayor Bill Gillespie for this fun bike ride and remember that everyone riding must wear a helmet. There will be a police escort to ensure the safety of our riders.

Sunday 5/17/15

1-4 pm Art Museum Day FREE
Bring the entire family out for a fun-filled afternoon. It will consist of Jazz Jams and hands-on art activities in the studios, in connection with the exhibition History Refused to Die: Alabama African-American Self-Taught Artists. Charlie, Lucas, one of the 15 artists featured in this exhibition, will take part in the festivities.

2pm Prattville Pops Spring Concert  FREE

4pm Cloverdale-Idlewild Association Spring Concert Series FREE
ADMISSION IS FREE!  Bring your chairs or blankets (or both), coolers, snacks.  Plan to sit under the beautiful oak trees in the park setting and enjoy the music.
