February 2014 Events


Here are a few upcoming free family events that I thought you might be interested in. I will add to it if I find any more.
 
Saturday 2/8/14


10 am Lowes Build and Grow-Love Note Holder (Register in advance)
 


The Poarch Band of Creek Indians, the only federally recognized Tribe in the state of Alabama, will share aspects of their heritage through an afternoon of story telling, drumming and dancing. We will have demonstrations of crafts and you can try your hand at medallion making, weaving and clay work in the Creek tradition.


Saturday 2/15/14


Special presentations, music performances, food, activities. FREE


Vendors open at 11 am in Partners in Pediatrics parking lot. Playzone by Space Walker-Court Street by the Fountain


Wednesday 2/19/14


10:30-11 am Tales for Tots Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts
For ages 2-6 with an adult. This free program offers young children and their families special stories and simple arts and crafts activities, related to works of art in the Museum galleries. A different work of art and story is presented each month.

9am Millbrook’s Mardi Gras Parade at the Village Green

10-11 am Blue Gray Tennis Classic Kids Festival

Saturday 3/1/14


9am-Noon Home Depot Kids Workshop Build a Trojan Horse Bank from the new DreamWorks animated film, "Mr. Peabody & Sherman", coming in March, 2014.
FREE hands-on workshops; designed for children ages 5 - 12. Register online.
