For a fun,FREE, educational experience this Saturday (10/6/12) take the whole family to Alabama Outdoor Heritage Day at Wehle Land Conservation Center in Midway, Al from 8 am to 3 pm.
Kids 12 and under get a free hot dog and drink. Plus, there will be music, woodworking demos, log cabin exhibits, Poarch Creek Indian Dancers, Cane Mill/Syrup Making Demonstrations, Free Pony and Wagon Rides, food vendors and much more!!!!
Bonus: You cross over the longest covered bridge in Alabama to get to the nature center.

The Wehle Nature Center is located approximately 5 miles Southeast of Midway, Alabama
in Bullock County on County Road 47. Take U.S. Hwy. 82 from either Montgomery or
Eufaula to Midway and follow the "Nature Center" signs. (According to my Mapquest search, it will take about an hour from Montgomery.)
