FREE July 4th Events In The River Region 2011


Sunday 7/3/11


Capital City Downtown Streetfest 3-7 pm Located at Tallapoosa and Commerce Streets. Inflatables ($10 wristband), street vendors, live DJ, Characters from The Party Palace, face painting, sand are, Motorcycle and Hot Rod displays, food and drink specials at downtown eateries and much more! (There will be a charge for some of the vendor activities but admission is FREE.)


Monday 7/4/11
Summerfest the Town Of Pike Road's 4th of July Celebration at The Waters off of Marler Road. Gates open at 5, activities start at 5:30-games, prizes, live music and fireworks!
Pike Road "Let Freedom Ring" Parade begins at 10 am at Pike Road Baptist Church

Flag Boat Parade begins at 10 am at Kowaliga Marina on Lake Martin.  Boats of all sizes parade from Kowaliga Marina to Children's Harbor and back. Watch from the shoreline or from boats for FREE.


Prattville Annual 4th of July Parade begins at 9 am. Take a lawn chair and set up early for a good spot along the parade route. Parade goes through downtown and ends at Pratt Park. FREE
10 am-3 pm Lion's Club BBQ and Camp Stew Sale at Pratt Park. Music, a patriotic program, a children's fun area and lots of arts and crafts. FREE
Fireworks at Stanley Jensen Stadium FREE begin at dark.


Russell Lands Fourth of July Fireworks and Celebration at Lake Martin Amphitheater Admission is charged for the concert and other activities but you can enjoy the fireworks for FREE from the adjacent open field or from a boat.


Wetumpka 4th of July Celebration Located in the park behind city administration building on Coosa River. Children's activities start at 9 am
Wetumpka Pops Band at 4 pm
Dance in the Park with Sweet Younguns and The Wax Band at 7:30 pm 
Old Fashioned Games
Dunking Booth
Fireworks at 9pm!

Cloverdale-Idlewild Parade 2 pm a the corner of Plymouth and Lexington. Ends at Bottom Park on Cloverdale Rd. Drums, bikes, floats and program at end of parade. Dress in your red, white and blue and join in this old-fashioned 4th of July celebration.

Montgomery River Front Celebration Riverwalk Amphitheater
Free Admission- Gates open at 6 pm
Entertainment provided by Dr. Feelgood
MAX Fireworks Spectacular following the Baseball Game, which begins at 6:05 p.m.
